Reinventing Wands: 1/?

James Potter’s wand was described as mahogany, eleven inches, and very pliable. This is lucky, because James had a tendency of throwing his wand around roughly when he was in a hurry. The color is a dark stain, on already reddish brown wood grain that shows all his fingerprints. The day James got the wand at Ollivander’s, he carved his initials into it, proudly marking it as his own. There are ink stains from his constant picture scribbling during school. When James turned sixteen, he etched a stag into the wood to represent his animagus form. His best friend, Sirius, was quick to point out how many more prongs the marking of the stag had, than the real thing when James transformed. James eventually grew into the image, but his friends still liked to tease him. Dragon heartstring was his core, quite common in the Potter lineage, and a matching core to his wife, Lily. When he died, his wand was passed off to Dumbledore, who in turn assured it was buried with James in the end.
